Property Taxes Due!

Property Taxes are Due in the Treasurer’s office by April 1, 2024!

If your taxes are paid by escrow, please disregard this notice. 

We have several payment options available:

• Online – Click the link on this homepage of www.marioncountyiowa.gov to “Pay Property Taxes.”  You may access your or any property by name or parcel number(s).  It’s EASY!
• Mail -MUST be postmarked by March 31 to avoid 1.5% penalty.  Pay early! Mailing at the end of the month does not guarantee a timely postmark. 
• 24/7 Dropbox - Located at the south entrance of the courthouse
• In Office - We accept cash, check or debit/credit card for a fee.  You do not need an appointment to pay property taxes. 
• Phone - Credit card only for an additional fee of 2.25%

Please note:  You will not receive a tax statement for March.  We only send out tax statements in August; these statements have the payment stubs for both the September and March installments every year.
